The transports owners buying stolen old tires for hiking new tires price...

The tire prices hike too much in Dhaka of Bangladesh, So, the men who are involved in the transport business, can’t buy the new tires. But it’s not possible stopping public transport, and for this reason, they’re buying used and old stolen tires for not getting other ways, said undisclosed sources. 

An old tire businessman Sohel Rana said that tire is very important for various vehicles. Without tires, any transport can be driven, but tire prices are too increased nowadays. For highly cost of tires, the transport business is threatened now in Bangladesh. He added, Six months ago a pair of tires were sold for thirty-two thousand takas, in Bangladeshi currency, but now it’s selling for forty thousand takas, even, though few tires are selling for fifty thousand to sixty thousand takas. But, the price depends on the size of the tires. On the other hand, income has decreased, and in this situation, the transport owners can’t buy new tires. Note that, one USD is now equivalent to more than one hundred and six takas. 

Discussed with a few old tire businessmen and transport owners, we knew the owners who couldn’t buy new tires, they were buying old and used stolen tires. There is a tired market in Deepnagor at Gabtoli, beside Beri Badh in the capital city of Dhaka. This market has many shops and various old tires are available here for sale. The transport businessmen come here for buying used tires for their buses, trucks, and pick-up vans at the cheapest prices. The shopkeepers of that market informed us that they usually sell tires for eight thousand takas to ten thousand takas. But, the new condition tires which had been used for one or two weeks are selling for twelve thousand to thirteen thousand takas. 

How times the old tires last in the transport, was asked to Sohel Rana and he replied that if any transport owners can buy it with looking minutely and understanding, it’ll run six to eight months, then he can do a rubbing two or three times and it’s needed three thousand four hundred takas per tire, but if he buys beat-cutting tires, this will not last more than one month. He added most businessmen do not know which tires are beat-cutting, So, they fall to losses.  

The old tire businessmen are very canning and fraud said a few people who bought used tires from Deepnagor’s old tire market. If any person does not know which is original or beat-cutting tires, he’ll not be identified the hidden facts. First, look and discuss for a few minutes so they can understand who’s the firstcomer here and they grab their nets to cheat with him. And they convinced the customer to buy with their good behavior and take the value of original tires, but they will give the beat-cutting tires, the newest someone can’t perceive their cleverly and tricks. 

      

How to do the tire beat-cutting, this question was asked to the old tired businessman Sohel Rana and he said after collecting the tires, they check first, and good condition tires, they separate from the less good tires. Then the tires become at level with the beats that have been sent to the factory to do beat-cutting. They have a few laborers in their factory who are very expert to cut the tires beat perfectly. They take times fifteen to twenty minutes to cut a tired beat. He added the laborers cut the tired beat with the sponges. After the beat-cutting of an old tire, it looks like a new tire and it will last three to six months in the vehicle.

An undisclosed source informed that there is a professional theaves syndicate in Dhaka city and they stole the tires from various vehicles. And they have many sub-team and groups in many areas, especially since they all are drivers and drugs, addicted men, and rootless people. After stealing they sell the tires in the old tired markets. There are a few old tired markets in Dhaka city. The big market is in deepnagor near Gabtoli, another is Kazla Bhanga press and the other is Dholaikhal of old Dhaka. Rubbing tires also be sold in those markets, with prices for five to six thousand takas.          

The old tired businessman Sohel Rana said they collect the tires from many sources. Many private companies don’t use tires for a time and they sold them by tender. We collect that tires and sell them to the transport businessmen. The government takes on many projects and buys many vehicles, but the tires don’t use them for long days. Since time good conditioned tires are sold to them, he added. Sometimes, the transport owners also sell the tires, he told. What is the guarantee, he replied that they are giving a three-month guarantee if the sold tire is damaged or sole displaced in that time, they will replace it without any cost. After ended three months, the guarantee will not be activated. 

   

Knowing by a discussion with the transport businessmen the old and used tires usually use in the city services buses, trucks and pick-up the vans. If anybody, wants to buy these tires, he must have to know, what is the original or what is beat-cutting tires, otherwise, he will fall into cheating. So, it’ll be the best way for those who know well, what is the original tires, it can take help from them.
